Although technically I was born in the 80s (1986 if you're interested!) I consider myself a true child of the 90s. I was too young to really enjoy shows from the 80s first time round, but instead I watched all the 90s kids shows going! I have such fond memories of so many of these TV programmes and, as lame and old as it makes me sound, they really don't make them like that anymore! Here are just a few of my favourites...
1. Rescue Rangers
2. Gummi Bears
3. Tots TV
4. Raggy Dolls
5. Talespin
6. Penny Crayon
7. Fun House (whole lot of fun, prizes to be won!)
8. Duck Tales
9. Muppet Babies
10. Eat Your Words (no-one else EVER remembers this - it was a game show on really early on a Saturday morning!)
11. Captain Planet
12. Wizadora
13. Clarissa Explains It All
14. Sabrina the Teenage Witch (oh my gosh I was obsessed with this show - when she clicks and her outfit changes - JEALOUS!)
15. Hey Arnold
16. Round the Twist
17. Are you Afraid of the Dark?
18. Eerie Indiana
19. The Raccoons
20. Mike and Angelo
How many of you remember these? And do you have any others to add to the list? The other day I spent a lot of time listening to the theme songs from some of my favourite 90s shows, and it made me feel all weird and nostalgic. It's so funny how, even though I haven't seen some of these shows for about 15 years, I still remember every single word of the theme song!
I loved Raggy Dolls, It had a good start didn't it where they were all climbing out of the toy box...is that right?! Sabrina was great too, I actually watched some of these again recently (?) and they are still great!
ReplyDeleteI remember them all, haha, I'm a 1985 baby :) Clarissa and Sabrina was amazing and Round the Twist! I'll also add, the Ewoks cartoon, inspecter gadget and the xmen cartoon!
ReplyDeleteI started singing the rescue rangers song in my head as soon as I read that lol, chip and dale, rescue rangers!! haha, one time I got some talespin toys with my happy meal. best thing ever!
Sabrina was a firm favourite for me. I was also very jealous of Bernard's Watch!
ReplyDeleteCaptain Bucky O' Hare
ReplyDeleteTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Moomins and Count Duckula...ooh and Dr Zitbag's Transyllvian pet shop!
I was obsessed with the Gummi bears when I was little. Anything red was "gummi bear" to me! (cause of the gummi berry juice!)
In the 90s I quite enjoyed "The Adventures of T-Rex". I was born in 83, so I suppose 80s cartoons were more my thing.
ReplyDeleteI remember all of those apart from Eat Your Words... I also used to love the Dreamstone - do you remember it? Hardly anyone ever does, but it was ace!
