Each loaf makes about 8-10 slices (or 6 if you cut them like I do - I've been raised to serve generous portions!) and it keeps for up to 4 days in an airtight tin. If anyone is interested in the recipe let me know and I will send you a copy of it.

Baking Up A Storm
Last week I made a cake. Not just any cake. One of my favourite cakes in the whole wide world. It's the Buttermilk Pound Loaf from The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook (get your copy here.) I've made this recipe about 6 times in the last three weeks, which I think speaks volumes about how good it is! Everyone loves it, and it's really easy to knock up, especially if you have a food mixer.
