Canon AV-1 (Part 1)

A while ago (which is how far too many of my blog posts seem to start!) I purchased a Canon AV-1 camera from ebay. It's an aperture priority 35mm camera from the Canon 'A' series (they also do an A-1 and AE-1.) I bought it because my awesome friend Kate has one, and I got serious camera envy. It took me a while to get round to actually putting some film in it and go out shooting, and I'm still nervous about shooting only in film, so tend to take pictures on my digital SLR too if I'm going somewhere important, but I think I've been bitten by the film bug!

Apologies for the massive photo dump; I tried to limit the number of photos by making two posts, but there are still quite a few! These aren't amazing, I know, I'm still getting to grips with it. But I think I may be a little bit in love. I'd definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking to try out shooting on film, and I'm even considering upgrading to an A-1 so I can have more control over the settings. Exciting times lie ahead....
