patterns and prints

I'm trying to stick to one of my new year's resolutions, which was to make stuff just for fun, trying out some projects on my pinterest board, and stopping myself from simply hoarding craft supplies and never using them or, possibly worst of all, buying new supplies at random with no specific project in mind. so far I have been useless at this - any free time I have (which is rare as hen's teeth anyway) is spent with friends, family, or Jonathan. I feel guilty just sitting and sewing or doing crochet. but I am going to work on it, and I thought I'd try and make it a fortnightly feature on the blog to spur me on.

I haven't finished a project yet, but I have been sorting out my craft supplies and seeing what I've got and what I can make using things I already own as opposed to buying loads of new supplies. waste not want not and all that. whilst doing so I photographed a few bits of fabric from my stash as I had an idea to potentially turn some of the prints on the fabric into laser cut pieces for jewellery...

sorry for the slightly random post - I've been finding it hard to make time for blogging lately what with everything else that's going on. and I have been feeling quite uninspired for a while. I think I've got my mojo back a bit though and I'm excited to get stuck back in to blogging, and finding things to blog about that isn't work related! thanks for bearing with me xoxo
