Also today I went to get an eye test and found out I am basically blind in one eye. Yeah, great, thanks Specsavers. However this does mean that I can now justify buying the amazing pair of vintage frames I saw in Spitalfields the other day. Swings and roundabouts.

I Heart You
A couple of old pictures from the Lady Luck Rules OK jewellery workshop me and Kate went to. We each got a heart with our name on, which we heat pressed ourselves! Mine is destined to become a brooch once I get some varnish.

Bookshelf Boy
Flickr is just the most inspiring place ever. I love being part of it, mainly because I stumble across super cute illustrations like this one. The creator is stealinghearts who is an all round super talented and super crafty lady. Check out her photostream and you will not be disappointed.
Flowers. Sky. Cheeky Pup.
Slowly getting up to date on my uploading and blogging. Here are some photos from the cherry blossom season - I love love love blossom so much, and just wish it lasted longer. But that pink against the blue Spring sky is just so pretty. Every year I take literally hundreds of photos of the blossom - but don't worry, I will spare you and just show you a couple of my favourites...

(oh and just a cheeky little photo of my cheeky little pup. I love how it looks like he is sticking his tongue out at the camera. He's pretty much the cutest thing ever, right?)

And a few photos taken during a walk around our local common - beautiful sky (love contrails so much) and some beautiful flowers. Yes I know nature photos are very cliched, and I take far too many of them, but I do love the colours.

It's my sister Gemma's 22nd birthday - Happy Birthday little one! We are going out for Chinese food tonight and I can't wait! Going to eat a LOT of duck.

Happy Sad
Life seems a bit up and down at the moment - not because of any major things happening, mostly just because of me and my ever changing moods! But the Happy Sad theme of these balloons and cakes (decorated by me and Ellie respectively) pretty much sums it up. They were made for a Grazia shopping night (which was about a month ago now, still playing catch up with my uploading!) and inspired by the classic Lazy Oaf Happy Sad sweatshirt and tote bag.

Which one are you right now - happy or sad? xxx

Curzon and Sunsets
The other week me and the lovely Kate face went to the Curzon Soho to watch Brothers Bloom. I love Adrien Brody so had high hopes for the film, and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a fun film to go watch, I'd definitely recommend it. It's probably not showing at many cinemas anymore, but I'm pretty sure it's currently on at the Prince Charles, if you live in London.

The other evening there was THE most gorgeous sky and I had to snap a few photos (I promise to try and cut back on photos of skies/sunsets/clouds!) It was a greeny blue colour at the top, and then at the bottom it was bright pink. Weird, but gorgeous.

Week in Review
Last week was my first official week as my Nanny's full-time carer. It was weird being at home all week, but it was really nice too. I got to play housewife, doing washing, cleaning and cooking, and I even had time to bake an apple cake, do some crocheting, and take some photos, which you can see below.

All in all it was a pretty good week, and I am looking forward to many more like it. This week I have a super long to do list which includes:
looking after a friend's hamster
hanging pretty dresses out to dry

Day of Fun Part 3
For the final part of our day out we headed to Selfridges for an interactive exhibition type event in the UltraLounge titled 'The Paper Eaters - Long Live the Photo-Story.' It was an odd place, full of quirky and downright bizarre objects, but was a fun way to kill an hour. Unfortunately the lighting was really bad, it was so dark in there that very few of our pictures came out, which is a shame as it was very colourful in there, and there were lots of cute things to look at. But here are a few pics from the Ultralounge, and Selfridges in general....

Well hope you enjoyed seeing the pics from mine and Kate's mini adventure round London. We sure had a fun old time. Thanks for reading folks, and I will be back tomorrow with some photos from my first week as a carer, plus those pictures of my pretty eBay dresses I promised xxx
wooden ampersands = NEED
this made me want to spray paint all my belongings
Day of Fun Part 2
After our jaunt round the Barbican Centre we headed towards Soho and The Photographer's Gallery, a favourite haunt of both me and Kate. Although, to be honest, we were more interested in the gift shop and cafe than the actual exhibitions!

Part 3 of our mini adventure will be with you later on today. Oh, and of course don't forget to check out my Flickr page for these and more photos. Thanks! xxx

Day of Fun Part 1
A month or so ago (see how behind I am with blogging and uploading?!) the lovely Kate face and myself ventured out into London for a day of fun. In fact so much fun was had that I am breaking it up into three posts (and three Flickr updates) so as not to dump loads of photos on you all at once. All three will go up today, so do check back. But for now, on with part one....
So our first stop was the Barbican Centre where we:

saw birds playing instruments as part of an installation (and were not allowed to take photos of it, booooo)
Part two will be uploaded at about 1pm GMT so see you then folks!
PS. The other day I had a lovely comment from fellow blogger Green Pickles saying that she loved my blog. Pretty much made my year. Check out her blog because it's as lovely as she is.

Food for Thought
For a Lazy Oaf blog post (which can be found here) each of the shop girls had to make a piece of art out of some form of food. For my entry I took inspiration from Jim's Pancakes and make a Lazy Oaf logo out of multi-coloured American style pancake batter. See the photos below for proof.

PS. I would just like to add I did not eat these. Partly because I didn't cook them properly, partly because I offered a bit to my dog Jasper and he turned his nose up. Considering he has been known to eat other animal's excrement, I decided this was probably a warning. They were fun to photograph though.

Last Ones...
I promise, these will be the last East London photos for a while! Still trying to catch up with blogging about and uploading old photos to Flickr, but hopefully I will be all caught up by the end of the week and then (well, this is the plan anyway!) I will be able to blog as and when things happen. Won't that be nice?! So, without further ado, here are a few snaps around the East End... (more on my Flickr)

cute sign
Currently addicted to buying vintage dresses on eBay. Some of them arrived today, so will take photos to show you. Love love love them! xxx
